Creating a Year-long Theme: A Teacher's Journey
Published in Paperback by Englefield & Arnold Inc (September, 2000)
Author: Litzler Coyne Ann
Average review score:

Unique, Exciting and Practical Approach to Education!
"Creating A Year-Long Theme: A Teacher's Journey" is a unique and exciting adventure into using a unified concept for an entire year of teaching. Ms. Coyne, a teacher who developed and implemented her own theme-based teaching methods, provides valuable insights into using themes to improve education. This book does not focus on the value of theme-based for education. We all know instinctively that children appreciate this approach - they will never forget their year of learning with a "circus," "space," "castles" or "continents." And, per Ms. Coyne, theme-based teaching unifies the classroom, engages students in learning and provides meaning to studying diverse topics. "Creating A Year-Long Theme: A Teacher's Journey" focuses on providing plenty of suggestions and concrete guidance, including worksheets and step-by-step instructions, for implementing theme-based teaching. Ms. Coyne's practical approach ensures that the theme is integrated across all subjects. This book is recommended for all new and experienced teachers plus school administrators who wish to refresh their teaching approach...From The Science Spiders

Wheeling & Lake Erie-Volume 2: Ohio Coal Hauler
Published in Hardcover by TLC Publishing (August, 2003)
Author: John B. Corns
Average review score:

A Gem
Author Corns has studied Ohio's Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway for decades, and his passion for the subject shines through in this definitive volume. Hundreds of sharply reproduced black-and-white photographs, thoroughly captioned and most never before published, augment a detail-rich text that brings to life an important and relatively unheralded piece of American railway history.

Train and rolling stock photos predominate, as would be expected, but remarkable images of long-gone stations, engine terminals, yards, and workers also grace the pages.

The W&LE, itself an amalgamation of small companies, was leased to the larger Nickel Plate Road in 1949, and it is at this logical point in the Wheeling's rather tumultuous history that the author concludes his review.

This book is a gem, and holds much of interest for railfans, modelers, historians, and Ohioans alike.

Wheeling and Dealing
Published in Paperback by Columbia University Press (15 September, 1993)
Author: Patricia A. Adler
Average review score:

LIVIN' LIFE IN THE FAST LANE
For all the questions you've ever had about high level drug smuggling but were deathly afraid to ask anybody...this book is for you! Adler chronicles how smugglers and dealers first entered the drug world, and how they rose to the top, and I do mean top rung of the drug dealing/smuggling community. An excellent study that doesn't read like academia.

4 Wheeler's Guide to the Rubicon Trail
Published in Spiral-bound by Deer Valley Press (20 January, 1998)
Author: William C. Teie
Average review score:

somewhat helpful book
The intention to provide information about the Rubicon Trail deserves applause - the result however is disappointing: The book provides very little helpful information. Despite many maps and pictures the book does not help a novice to navigate the trail.

Kern L. Napoletano, Webmaster - 4-Wheel Drive/SUVs
This is the best book aout the Rubicon I have very read. It's well done! If you've never been on the trail this is th enext best thing. If you have been down the trail get this book anyway. You'll love it.

Great book for those who have or plan to travel the Rubicon.
The Rubicon is the grand-daddy of all 4x4 trails. This book does a great job of telling about this famous 4-wheel drive trail. Mr. Teie will tell you how to get ready and what to take. He goes into the history of the trail which might surprise some of you. It is a very old trail that has been in use since mankind has been in California. The book does an excellent job telling you all the ways into the trail and all the parts of the trail. It gives the miles from point to point along with great maps. It even has maps from days long gone. What you should take with you and (as a true 4-wheeler should) the book talks about trail etiquette and safety are some of the other topics in this book. This book also lets you know what the Forest Service rules and regulations are of area, which can be very useful. This is a special book of the Rubicon Trail. It has great pictures of the trail also. One thing about pictures of 4-wheeling is the fact they just don't do justice to the trail. Mr. Teie found a way around this. He has put some 3D pictures in along with the regular pictures. Don't worry, the book comes with 3D glasses also. I recommend this book, 4 Wheeler's Guide to the Rubicon Trail, to anyone and everyone who plans to go to the Rubicon or has been doing the trail for years. This is a great book for all.

The Best of Wheeling
Published in Hardcover by The Cookbook Marketplace (July, 1997)
Authors: Inc The Junior League of Wheeling and Junior League of Wheeling
Average review score:

Great for what it is.....
I have several Junior League cookbooks, but this one holds a place close to my heart, since I lived in Wheeling for a year and loved it like I had lived there all my life. There are plenty of fine recipes in here for simple things like muffins and chicken dishes. My favorite recipe, and my family's, is the Breakfast Explosion Cake. It's delicious and very easy, and it makes people howl when you tell them what you're serving.

A SHARK NEVER SLEEPS : WHEELING AND DEALING WITH THE NFL'S MOST RUTHLESS AGENT
Published in Paperback by Atria Books (September, 1998)
Authors: Drew Rosenhaus and Don Yaeger

Wow! He's Some Kinda Symptom . . . Er, Guy!
October 6, 2002

Hoping for a peek into the arena of sports agency, I
picked this up one lazy afternoon. Wow! I suppose if
you're the right sort of person with the right sense of
humor, you could have a lot of fun wallowing inside this
fellow Drew Rosenhaus's own fascinated vision of himself
and his life--replete with numerous descriptions of how
crafty and tough he is, as well as an insert bikini photo
of his model girlfriend (with whom he's formed a deep,
lasting pair-bond, I'm sure).

However, it's more likely you might be left gaping at a
printed ego that approaches the sociopathic, pondering
about what publisher and editor were possibly thinking,
and wondering how many Drew Rosenhauses are out
there, tolerated, even rewarded, in this, the tackiest,
but best dressed, of all possible worlds.

Tolerated and rewarded not just in professional sports,
which would be bad enough, but in civil law, corporate
finance, government . . .

I enjoyed this book.
I want to be a sports agent when I grow up and that is why I read this book. I found it very interesting. It is poorly written and Drew does talk highly of himself quite a bit , but I still enjoyed it because that is my dream proffession.

GREAT BOOK
This was a great book...i dont care what anyone says..yeah Drew's a show off but hey hes the BEST in the buisness and he tells u how he got there in this Book. And for that idiot that said he put a modeling Pic of his girl in the picture part of the book didnt even read it!...the pic isnt there....GO DREW GO!!!!!!!
